Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

We respect intellectual property and expect our members to do the same. This explains how to report infringement and how we respond.

Our content

The FLIP Care Companion name and logo, the ROOTS framework and its assessment content, the “Auntie Mary” coach persona, our copy, design, illustrations, and software are owned by FLIP Care Companion or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, republish, resell, or create derivative works from them without written permission. You may print or export your own care records for personal use.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting in the community or uploading files, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a licence to host and display it as described in the Terms of Service.

Submitting a DMCA takedown notice

If you believe material on FLIP Care Companion infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (URL, post ID, screenshot) for us to locate it.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Postal notices may be requested by email; we will supply a mailing address on request. Please allow up to 10 business days for a response.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@flipcareapp.com including your signature, the material removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or the Northern District of Georgia if you are outside the US). We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers and trademark claims

We terminate accounts of repeat infringers. For trademark concerns, misuse of a brand name, logo, or impersonation, email legal@flipcareapp.com with the mark, registration details if any, and where the misuse appears.
